Jody Ann Hemmings

Jody Ann Hemmings is the embodiment of survivorship. Originally sentenced to 14 years in prison, her sentence was reduced in 2022 after filing for resentencing under the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act.

Driven by her past trials and overcoming them, she takes pride in providing the best support possible for others not just as their unseen motivator but also as a survivor that is equipped with the tools to help others come to terms with identifying and breaking the cycle of abuse.

As a part of the SJP Advisory Group, some of her goals include planning, promoting, and advocating for others who are fearful of speaking out and telling their truth.
