SJP provides trainings related to the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act and working with survivors who have been arrested, prosecuted, and punished.
Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJA) 101
This training is designed for attorneys, judges, prosecutors, service providers, and other advocates to learn more about the DVSJA.
Trauma of Incarceration: Providing Culturally Competent Services When Working with People in Jail or Prison
This workshop is designed to help individuals, advocates, and organizations better understand the dynamics of incarceration and its impact on people, particularly on survivors of domestic violence.
Resources and Publications
Our resources provide practical information and insightful research for working with the DVSJA and beyond.
We've developed knowledge, data, tools, and resources to support survivors and make the criminal legal system more responsive to survivors of domestic violence.
Currently incarcerated survivors, stakeholders in other states and others rely on our DVSJA Resource Guide, which is widely available in prisons and jails.
Our policy paper begins to address some of the needed changes to improve the law.
